We are always excited to promote and follow the Create the Future Design Contest each year because it fits so nicely with our statement “Realizing Tomorrow’s Technology.” So we are passing along this year’s announcement directly from Joe Pramberger, President, Tech Briefs Media Group (contest producer) with our encouragement to submit your brilliant ideas. The 2015 Create the Future Design Contest is now under way at www.createthefuturecontest.com. Sponsored by COMSOL and Mouser Electronics, the 13th annual global design competition offers a top prize of $20,000. There is no cost to enter.
We're looking for brilliant new product ideas that could create jobs, save lives, help the environment, or benefit society in other ways. Individual and team entries are invited in seven categories:
- Aerospace &
Defense
- Automotive/Transportation
- Consumer Products
- Electronics
- Machinery/Automation/Robotics
- Medical
- Sustainable Technologies
In addition to designs at the concept or prototype stage, commercial products that have been introduced to the market within the last 12 months are eligible.
Past contests have generated over 10,000 design ideas from engineers, entrepreneurs, and students in more than 100 countries. With millions of visitors to the contest web site and tremendous media coverage, the contest has helped shine the light on many ideas that attracted funding, partners and manufacturers to become commercial success stories.
